JUNE 30, 2022 – When Ridiculed, Rejoice

  When Ridiculed, Rejoice

JUNE 30, 2022
Daily Reading – 2 Chron. 10-134 / Acts 5:29-42

WHAT GOD HAS SAID:

Acts 5:41-42 And they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for his name. And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ.

WHAT I HAVE SEEN:

If you were to pick the number one reason, why people do not go soul winning or share their faith what might it be? Lack of time? Well, that is really an excuse more than a reason. People find time to do anything they really want to do. Lack of finances? Probably not as it costs nothing to share your faith. Well, nothing except your ego. The main reason people do not share Christ is the thought of being ridiculed for their faith.
Rejoice! What a great crowd you have joined if you are ever ridiculed. It happened to Jesus, the Disciples, and many others. Acts 5:41-42 tells us how to react to such ridicule. Rejoice to be worthy first, and then, just keep sharing.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

Isn’t the soul of those you do reach worth the enduring
a few who may poke fun?

JUNE 29, 2022 – If We Can, We Will

  If We Can, We Will

JUNE 29, 2022
Daily Reading – 2 Chron. 7-9 / Acts 5:1-28

WHAT GOD HAS SAID:

Acts 5:28 Saying, Did not we straitly command you that ye should not teach in this name? and, behold, ye have filled Jerusalem with your doctrine, and intend to bring this man’s blood upon us.

WHAT I HAVE SEEN:

The disciples were tossed in prison with guards placed outside. Yet God decided to release them. Did He harm the guards, or jail? No. In Acts 5:23 we find the jail and locks untouched, and the guards not harmed. Yet the prisoners were free.
Those who had put them in jail brought them before the court and said, we told you not to preach about this Jesus. Then unwittingly they said, “and intend to bring this man’s blood upon us.” As I read it, I thought, YES! That is exactly what we want to do. To have the blood of Jesus applied to the hearts of man. I know that is not what they meant, yet, I would say, if we can, we will.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

Will you pray the sin cleansing blood of Christ would be applied to all who hear?

JUNE 28, 2022 – Let’s Shake Things Up

  Let’s Shake Things Up

JUNE 28, 2022
Daily Reading – 2 Chron. 4-6 / Acts 4

WHAT GOD HAS SAID:

Acts 4:31 And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.

WHAT I HAVE SEEN:

The way things are in the world today, many Christians have all but given up. It seems the feeling is that no matter what we do, no one wants to listen. It is the downtrodden sense that we truly cannot make a difference in this dark world. I TOTALLY DISAGREE!
When we pray, sincerely getting on our knees before a Holy God, someone is listening. He is always listening. Not only is He listening, but He can also make a difference. When the disciples and those with them united in prayer, it says the place where they were was shaken. My friend God can still shake things up if we will just pray. Let’s shake things up, shall we?

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

Will you earnestly pray for change in our
churches and society today?

JUNE 27, 2022 – It Is A Good Formula

  It Is A Good Formula

JUNE 27, 2022
Daily Reading – 2 Chron. 1-3 / Acts 3

WHAT GOD HAS SAID:

Acts 3:19-20 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord; And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you:

WHAT I HAVE SEEN:

Today we see products on the store shelves that say, “New and Improved.” That cannot be. WHY? Well, if it is NEW, it never existed before. How then can something that never existed be “Improved?”
Another claim is, “Advanced Formula.” Evidently, what they had before was not good enough, so they have either taken some things out or added a few things in.
The formula for Salvation has never changed. WHY? Because it cannot be improved upon. We cannot add anything to make it better or take anything away without it failing. It is a good formula as is.
Repent, ask God to forgive you of your sin. Be converted, put faith in Jesus as the total payment for all your sin. Then watch for His return.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

Why change a formula like that?

JUNE 25 & 26, 2022 – Two Days, Three Times

  Two Days, Three Times

JUNE 25 & 26, 2022
Daily Reading – 1 Chron. 28-29 / Acts 2:37-47

WHAT GOD HAS SAID:

Acts 2:46-47 And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.

WHAT I HAVE SEEN:

I had someone ask, “Why do you have to go to church twice on Sunday and again on Wednesday?” My answer is this, you do not have to go at all. Still, I cannot understand why a Christian would not want to go as often as they have an opportunity. Spending time with other believers should be a desire, not a duty. Being at church gives you opportunities to share your spiritual gifts with others and be blessed by God. When I was young, it was referred to as, “Three to Thrive.” Sunday AM, PM, and Wednesday to recharge.
Today’s verses say they went DAILY to fulfill Jewish customs, and then met someplace else to fellowship and praise God.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

Has going to church two days a week for three services somehow become a chore?

WHAT TO DO ON SUNDAY:

On Sundays, we encourage you to attend your local church and listen intently to what God has prepared in the heart of your Pastor. Write down all the scriptures he uses in that message, then, when you get home re-read those passages for today’s reading. God has given to your Pastor exactly what He desires for you on that day.
