SEPTEMBER 30, 2022 – God’s GPS

  God’s GPS

SEPTEMBER 30, 2022
Daily Reading – Ecc. 9-10 / Gal. 3

WHAT GOD HAS SAID:

Galatians 3:24-25 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.

WHAT I HAVE SEEN:

GPS systems are great. Well, sometimes. It depends on how accurately you program them. If you enter very specific address information, road types you want to travel, etc., they will normally bring you to where you need to be. However, once you have memorized the route, you no longer need the GPS.
God’s Word is much like a GPS, directing us where we need to be. God’s Word confronts our sinfulness and leads us to Jesus as our Saviour. That is what Paul was saying in today’s verse. The law was our schoolmaster, or GPS that brought us to Christ. The law cannot and did not save us, it leads us to our Saviour. Once Jesus is in our heart, we follow Him, not the law.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

Could GPS be God’s Plan Of Salvation?

SEPTEMBER 29, 2022 – Dead Man Walking

  Dead Man Walking

SEPTEMBER 29, 2022
Daily Reading – Ecc. 7-8 / Gal. 2

WHAT GOD HAS SAID:

Galatians 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

WHAT I HAVE SEEN:

“Dead Man Walking.” This phrase is normally used to describe a death row inmate as they walk to the execution chambers. It is also used as slang term for someone heading to the boss’s office to be terminated. These are living people about to face a sudden end.
In Galatians 2:20 Paul gives us another picture of a, “Dead Man Walking.” Paul said, we as believers are already dead, yet still walking around. Not someone about to die. On the contrary, we are already dead, “crucified with Christ.” We will therefore never face eternal death and damnation, “Nevertheless I live.” Oh, Christian friend, get out there and be ALIVE For Jesus today. He loves you and gave Himself so you can LIVE!

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

Will you be a LIVING EXAMPLE for Him?

   Nothing New Today

SEPTEMBER 28, 2022
Daily Reading – Ecc. 5-6 / Gal. 1

WHAT GOD HAS SAID:

Galatians 1:9 As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.

WHAT I HAVE SEEN:

Every so many years we see a new fad pop up on the church horizon. When it does, people flock to it by the thousands. It may the music, programming, some new electronic gizmo, or whatever. None of which in themselves are bad if used for the right reasons and in a right way. However, as we have often seen, with a new whatever it is, comes a new more modern and often twisted teaching of religion. That is a problem.
Paul warned the church many years ago there is no new gospel. You can shine a new light, or sing a new song, but you cannot develop a new gospel. If you add to it, or subtract from it, it is a lie. Some things can change to update ministries. However, my friend the message can never change.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

Isn’t that GOOD NEWS?

SEPTEMBER 27, 2022 – A Bit Of Advice

  A Bit Of Advice

SEPTEMBER 27, 2022
Daily Reading – Ecc. 3-4 / 2 Co. 13

WHAT GOD HAS SAID:

2 Corinthians 13:11 Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you.

WHAT I HAVE SEEN:

In closing his second letter to the church, Paul gives them a bit of advice that is still good advice today. These traits cannot be overlooked as a kind goodbye. Each of them takes some deliberate thought and work.
  • Be perfect, – Not having arrived, but be perfected.
  • Be of good comfort, – Comfort one another in Christ.
  • Be of one mind, – Study to have one mind in Christ.
  • Live in peace,- Live in Christ, the author of real peace.
Paul is saying if we will strive to live this way and do these things then, “the God of love and peace shall be with you.” Not only is He with us in the sense of, He never leaves us, but God is also with us helping in our daily walk.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

Isn’t that a bit of great advice?

SEPTEMBER 26, 2022 – Shine For Him

  Shine For Him

SEPTEMBER 26, 2022
Daily Reading – Ecc. 1-2 / 2 Co. 12

WHAT GOD HAS SAID:

2 Corinthians 12:9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

WHAT I HAVE SEEN:

Why is it that Christian’s go through such horrible times? Well, what I am about to say Will not fix your awful times. It may however give you reason to endure them.
During those days when you are doing ok, you are happy, and there is not a care in the world, it may be hard for the lost to see you as any different from most others in the world. However, when we face trials and adversities and still praise God in the midst of them, that is when God shines through. You see the world is watching. Praising God in the good times, well that makes sense. But praising God during trials, my friend that is supernatural.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

Your trials may not go away. Yet isn’t shining for Jesus worth it just a little bit?
