A Crowd Of ONE
APRIL 01, 2022
Daily Reading – Deuteronomy 29-31 / Luke 5:1-26
WHAT GOD HAS SAID:
Luke 5:15-16 But so much the more went there a fame abroad of him: and great multitudes came together to hear, and to be healed by him of their infirmities. And he withdrew himself into the wilderness, and prayed.
WHAT I HAVE SEEN:
It seems today the Mega-Church is what everyone craves. The bigger congregations have more finances to fund bigger stage productions and events, therefore they get a lot of attention.
I am in no way condemning their efforts to get the gospel out by every means possible. However, Jesus did not desire the presence of a crowd. Jesus enjoyed a Crowd of ONE!
In today’s verses we find multitudes of people coming to see Jesus. What did Jesus do? He withdrew to a quiet place to be alone with His Father, God. He knew His best moments were not in the crowd of thousands, but rather in the Crowd of ONE. When the masses go their way, the Crowd of ONE is always there.
WHAT WILL YOU DO:
Which crowd will draw your attention today?
