OCTOBER 29 & 30
Daily Reading – Jer. 10-12 / 1 Tim. 4
WHAT GOD HAS SAID:
1 Timothy 4:4-5 For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving: For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer
WHAT I HAVE SEEN:
Today’s food studies contradict one another. Some say red meat is bad for you, while others say it is ok. Some say never eat bacon, yet others encourage you to put bacon in everything, including ice cream.
I believe the key to it all is moderation, taste, allergies, and thankfulness. Any food, overdone can harm you. Moderation is a good practice with all foods. Some things just do not taste good to some people. No one should be made to eat food that tastes bad to him or her. Allergies play a part in what a person can and cannot eat as well. The Bible adds that nothing is to be refused as long as you know who provides it and you tell God thanks.
WHAT WILL YOU DO:
Will you take the time to tell God thanks
for all His provisions for you today?
WHAT TO DO ON SUNDAY:
On Sundays, we encourage you to attend your local church and listen intently to what God has prepared in the heart of your Pastor. Write down all the scriptures he uses in that message, then, when you get home re-read those passages for today’s reading. God has given to your Pastor exactly what He desires for you on that day.
