JUNE 21, 2022 Daily Reading – 1 Chron. 17-19 / John 20
WHAT GOD HAS SAID:
John 20:30-31 And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book: But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.
WHAT I HAVE SEEN:
In our passage today, Jesus says to Thomas in verse 27, “be not faithless, but believing.”Thomas then addresses Jesus as His Lord and God. By doing so, he was saying he accepted Jesus as his Lord, and Saviour, and as God. That is what Jesus wanted for him, and for you and me. He says so in verse 29 when He says, “blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.”
Our verses today tell us Jesus did a lot more than we ever read about. Yet there is enough in the pages of scripture for anyone who desires to be saved, to be able to believe in Christ. Jesus wants us to have a real life through His name.
WHAT WILL YOU DO:
What more could we want than what the Creator of all things could supply?
