Plan Your Work, Work Your Plan
MARCH 6 & 7, 2021
KEY FROM GOD’S WORD:
Proverbs 6:6-8Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise: Which having no guide, overseer, or ruler, Provideth her meat in the summer, and gathereth her food in the harvest.
THOUGHT ON GOD’S WORD:
Work hard, keep your nose to the grindstone, and make hay while the sun shines. These are sayings many of us heard when we were children. This has often been referred to as the American way. If you will stay out of trouble and work hard, you can be anything you want to be. People have proven this to be true over and over again.
However, it seems today, the American way has become waiting for a handout. Looking for someone else to care for life’s necessities. I know we have all had hard times and may need occasional help. This is often when the Church you are a member of will also step in to help one another during these times of need. I am not speaking here of those who need occasional assistance, those who are disabled, or people who cannot work. Yet sadly today we find many able-bodied people who have made living by handouts a way of life. Phrases such as, “play while you are young,” “you only go around once,” and “live with gusto,” seem to leave out the idea of planning for tomorrow. The Bible is clear, we are to plan financially, physically, and spiritually.
Scripture also tells us of rewards in heaven if we are diligent to follow God’s leading. Nevertheless, some Christians, who are good providers here in this life, have set up nothing for the life ahead. Matthew 6:19-21 says, “Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.”
CARRYING THAT THOUGHT THROUGH THE DAY:
Spring is almost here. Most everyone is glad after a cold winter. However, with spring come ants. Everywhere you look, you will see them running here and there. They will start early preparing for next winter. As you see them running around, think to yourself, am I preparing also. Preparing for all that is to come.

WHAT TO DO ON SUNDAY:
There will not be a Daily Devotion sent out on Sundays. Instead we encourage you to attend your church and listen intently to what God has prepared in the heart of your Pastor. Write down all the scriptures he uses in that message, then when you get home re-read those passages for today’s reading. God has given to your Pastor exactly what He desires for you on that day.
