The Fountain Of Life

Daily Reading – 1 Kings 11-12 / John 6:34-71

WHAT GOD HAS SAID:

John 6:63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

WHAT I HAVE SEEN:

     Ponce de Leon is remembered for his search for the “Fountain of Youth.” Although he is credited with finding Florida, the explorer never found a “Fountain of Youth.”    

     Others have searched for such a fountain. It is said that Alexander the Great also claimed to have found a “River of Healing” in the fourth century. Many such claims have come from all over the world. Even today, some still search for this miracle body of water.

     Jesus said, the words He spoke, and the Spirit of God brings eternal life. The real fountain of healing and life are the words that spring forth from the Word of God. It is that Living Water also mentioned in John 7:38 that should flow through you.
