What Is The Promise?

Daily Reading – Ecc. 11-12 / Gal. 4
WHAT GOD HAS SAID:
Galatians 4:28 Now we, brethren, as Isaac was, are the children of promise.
WHAT I HAVE SEEN:
Paul says in this verse we are children of the promise. But just what is that promise?
If you go back to Galatians 3:26 you read: “For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.” In 3:29 it says: “And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.” So, what is the promise? The promise is if we know Christ as Saviour, we are heirs together with Him. Romans 8:16-17 “The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.“ Now that is a promise.

Are you an heir to the promise?
WHAT TO DO ON SUNDAY:
On Sundays, we encourage you to attend your local church and listen intently to what God has prepared in the heart of your Pastor. Write down all the scriptures he uses in that message, then, when you get home re-read those passages for today’s reading. God has given to your Pastor exactly what He desires for you on that day.
