A Bit Of Advice

Daily Reading – Ecc. 3-4 / 2 Co. 13
WHAT GOD HAS SAID:
2 Corinthians 13:11 Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you.
WHAT I HAVE SEEN:
In closing his second letter to the church, Paul gives them a bit of advice that is still good advice today. These traits cannot be overlooked as a kind goodbye. Each of them takes some deliberate thought and work.
- Be perfect, – Not having arrived, but be perfected.
- Be of good comfort, – Comfort one another in Christ.
- Be of one mind, – Study to have one mind in Christ.
- Live in peace,- Live in Christ, the author of real peace.
Paul is saying if we will strive to live this way and do these things then, “the God of love and peace shall be with you.” Not only is He with us in the sense of, He never leaves us, but God is also with us helping in our daily walk.
